Norka Martinez Luque: Whatever Doesn’t Kill You Simply Makes You Stronger

Norka Luque is an upcoming Latino musician who is based in Miami, Florida. Her career has been full of setbacks. In 2014, her career was in full bloom. Health professionals diagnosed her with epilepsy, a neurological condition that is characterized by issues with activities of the brain nerve cells. Norka Luque had to stop her career to undergo surgery in 2015. Ms. Martinez endured a somewhat difficult and tough healing process that saw her gain so much weight.

Despite all her personal struggles, Ms. Martinez has persevered and come out successful in her tribulations. The beautiful Venezuelan singer is back after losing the weight. She has changed her whole lifestyle, and she is following her personal trainer’s regime schedule.

Norka Luque’s fame can be traced back to her native Venezuela. She started participating in dance, singing and instrument-performing competitions when she was still in high schools. Ms. Martinez was born in Caracas, Venezuela’s capital city. She spent most of her early life in this busy city. Her parents wanted only the best for her in life, so they sent her to a formal school to pursue early education. Additionally, they paid extra for Norka’s instrument, dance and singing classes.

Soon after she completed high school studies, she moved to France to pursue higher education. Norka dreamt of becoming a successful business woman, so she enrolled in a business school. In the school, she majored in Business Administration.

After four years of hard work, Norka Luque finally graduated. Her hunt for a business related career landed her in Monaco where she got a job in the banking sector. However, Ms. Martinez did not do the job for long. She realized that she was in the wrong profession. She says that the job limited her creativity. This was when she decided to relocate to the United States to pursue music as a career.


She sang ‘Como Lo HacesTu,’ a song that was composed by the renowned Archie Peña. She shortly followed with another single, “Milagro” or “Miracle” in English. These songs made Ms. Martinez a famous personality in the music scene. In 2011, she got a nomination for the prestigious Premios Lo Nuestro Award.
