New York providing residents with cheaper access to legal support

Legal assistance is a major need for many people. Including those facing criminal charges, or dealing with a child custody issue, or have a complaint with their landlord. Those living in New York now have a convenient way to find legal help in their area or community. The New York State Bar Association’s Lawyer Referral and Information Service has launched an online service portal to help those seeking a lawyer.

Lawyer Referral and Information Service offers the confidential service 24 hours a day. People can still use the phone service if they prefer. The Lawyer Referral and Information Service was created to be a less stressful way to find legal help. Those needing help will be matched with lawyers who have been reviewed by the NY State Bar and are in good legal standing. The New York State Bar Association launched the online service with help from Legal.io, which is a nationwide provider of referral management tools for the legal industry.

Lawyers have the ability to provide services to a greater number of people and at a lower cost, and to make it the go-to-destination for consumers and companies who rely on New York laws. The service requires individuals who seek a lawyer fill out a confidential questionnaire describing their issue and location. The New York State Bar review the answers and matches the person with a lawyer who has an office in the same community.

One lawyer, people can be matched with is Jeremy Goldstein. Jeremy Goldstein is a partner at Jeremy L. Goldstein & Associates. Goldstein has overseen many of the largest corporate transactions in the last 10 years including the United Technologies purchase of Goodrich.
