Maintaining the quality of human rights

Introduction

Companies, rich people, and some officials have always wished away the existence of the human rights. Such sentiments have been shared by the learning institutions that are looking for ways of controlling the population. Fortunately, the human rights had been established, and they are strong for enforcement.

The only challenge is that there are no bodies that are dedicated to the service of protecting the human rights. For this reason, several non-governmental bodies have come up with ways of fighting for the minority in the society. One major problem with this fight is that the population is divided. There is the majority that does not suffer the pain of discrimination.

The Frontera Fund

Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey have been victims of discrimination and violation of human rights. Being journalists, the two have the rights to write articles about the state of the county and the country as a whole. In 2007, Larkin and Lacey were wrongfully arrested for attempting to expose the rot in the society. The exposure touched on the involvement of Sheriff Joe Arpaio who used his powers as a sheriff to frustrate them.

In the middle of the night, both Jim and Michael were arrested from their homes. It is against the law of the state and of human rights to handle people the way that the duo was handled. After winning the case, the journalists decided to donate the $3.75 million to the course of fighting the violation of human rights. The boys and girls club of America

The Club is one of the most vibrant organizations that support human rights and liberties. In the United States, every child has a right to education. Most organizations fight for the education of the children through exerting pressure on their parents, yet they do nothing to help the helpless students.

The Boys and Girls club goes an extra mile in fighting for the rights of the students. Instead of insisting on the parental support, the club raises some money to put the neglected children in school. Read more: Village Voice Media | Wikipedia and Michael Lacey | Twitter

It is a unique kind of an organization where the action is taken, and the results have to be seen immediately. The organization has not limited its operations to any state, but because of insufficiency of funds, it majorly deals with students around the state of California.

The care for reproductive rights

Millions of women have died because of poor healthcare. Reproductive health is among the most important forms of health in the society. The importance is not taken seriously because very few people understand the weight of its importance.

Women have a right to quality reproductive health. Failure to grant this right is a work against the rights of women. The organization has mobilized the rich and influential women like Oprah Winfrey to support its course.

Because of her love towards women empowerment, Oprah and other influential women have fully supported the course of the organization. Quality health has been seen in places where women are empowered. The organization is among the most successful ones in the world today.
