Good Morning: Lime Crime’s Doe Deere Dishes On Her Daily Beauty Routine

Lime Crime has become one of the most popular makeup brands for young people, thanks to excellent quality products, a strong social media presence and kooky wild color palettes.

Doe Deere the company’s founder and CEO believes that makeup should be fun and free and self-empowering. So it’s interesting to see how the purple-tressed beauty puts her own look together each morning.

Doe Deere sat down with SavoirFlair to talk beauty rituals.

First of all, the beauty CEO believes in taking care of her complexion and drinks a glass of water when she awakens. The air in Los Angeles can be a bit dry, and Doe Deere wants to amp up the hydration. She also washes with a facial formula from Glossier. It smells divine like rose petals, and it’s soothing to the complexion. Then she applies Hydro-Dynamic Quenching Essence from Murad skin care to lock in the moisture.

When it comes to cosmetics, Doe Deere reveals that she wears foundation in either L’Oreal’s True Match or MAC’s Studio Fix liquid makeup formulas. In case you’re wondering about a future Lime Crime foundation, yes, she’s planning that. So stay tuned, Lime Crime fans.

Doe Deere sets her face with powder, and then she fills in her brows to define their shape. Her next two products are must-haves in her beauty bag. Doe Deere admits she’s a blush and lipstick freak.

She generally chooses to enhance her full cheeks with pink or red hues, and the lipsticks fall into the same category. Doe Deere uses three lipsticks from her famous Velvetines liquid matte lippies line. These include Rustic Red, Red Velvet and Pink Velvet. You can check them out here at her e-shopping website.

The Velvetines have become a huge hit around the world, partly because the formulas are loaded with a French vanilla infusion and dry down to a smooth, matte finish. These are true lipsticks that last for hours and don’t budge.

Doe Deere’s current signature purple locks come via Lime Crime’s new Unicorn Hair dye. The shade she uses is Pony. These are rich semi-permanent hair colors that also come in orange, green, smoke, etc.

Doe Deere listens to the iconic Abbey Road album as she paints her face and also plays with her two pretty Persian cats, Puffy Fluffles and Chester von Battingham.
