Who would have thought that the Carpet Seller would become one of the renowned businessmen? Eric Lefkofsky businesses career began when he was still at the University of Michigan.
In the course of his career, Eric has developed different Companies that have put his mark in the entrepreneurial world. It is his love for technology, however, that led to the establishment of Tempus. Tempus is a technological Company that provides operating systems for battling cancer.
The Company has enabled the physicians to deliver a personalized care to all the cancer patients through the interactive analytical and machine learning systems.
Eric bought his first company, the Brandon Apparel in partnership with his friend Brad Keywell. It was not until 1999 that he ventured into the technology world. Eric launched Starbelly which was an Internet Company that promoted different products. After achieving success in the business, he sold the Company to Halo Industries in 2000. He left the Company to venture into other types of businesses, and that was when he co-founded the InnerWorkings in 2001.
Eric founded the Echo Global Logistics in 2005, and a year later, he launched the MediaBank. MediaBank supports the Companies when it comes to organizing their advertising processes. He still serves as the C.E.O of the Company 12 years later.
In 2010, he co-founded the Lightbank that invest in Companies that deal with the disruptive technology. It is a Company that provides more than just money. They have a unique approach that they use when it comes to venture capital and learn more about Eric Lefkofsky.
Earlier in 2007, Eric co-founded the Groupon. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and also the Chairman of the Company. In 2015, however, the Board of Directors chose to replace him as the C.EO. The reason is that Eric wanted to move on to other big ventures. He remained as the Chairman of the Board. After leaving, Eric focused his attention at his Uptake Company and also Tempus.
He founded the Lefkofsky Family Foundation in 2006 that seeks to enhance human life through the different research being done.
Eric attended the University of Michigan Law School where he earned his Juris Doctor.
