Doe Deere/Lime Crime

Born and raised in Russia, Doe Deere has always been an inspiring entrepreneur. Starting at just 13 years old, she wore temporary tattoos, and her class mates liked them so much, she decided to start selling them. She then moved to America when she was 17. Her first ambition was to be a musician, which she accomplished when she joined a band. While a part of that band, she met her husband. Doe says that being a part of a band taught her about her career and marketing. Doe also said that being in a band with her husband helped better their relationship because they had to collaborate together to write songs.

Later Doe attended FIT in New York and majored in fashion design, where her love of make-up, hair, and fashion blossomed. Doe Deere is known for having a fun, bright and spunky sense of style which earned her the name “Queen of Unicorn’s” symbolizing uniqueness and a one of a kind style. She loved wearing bright colors, but they were very difficult to find since the more popular look was a natural one. Her sense of style quickly became popular and in October of 2008 Doe launched her own make-up line called Lime Crime. Lime Crime carries a wide variety of products. They have many bright and unique color lipsticks, eye shadows, eye liners, semi-permanent hair colors, and nail polishes. Doe Deere’s company sets itself apart from the competition by being certified vegan free and cruelty-free by PETA and Leaping Bunny, meaning they don’t use any animal products to create their products, and their products are not tested on animals either.

Doe Deere said her best advice she can give to other ambitious women, is to follow your heart. She believes that everyone has a certain uniqueness and skill set about them that they can give to the world, and when they tune into that, that’s when they truly blossom.

Doe Deere is inspiring women all over the world to express themselves and be who they are, and that they can chase after their dreams no matter what.
